or equivalent turbo. My best guess is that the improvement in efficiency isn't sufficient to offset the increased price. Since the Sport 500 can be purchased for around $2000 with core exchange, the price of GT25 turbos would likely be much higher because it uses its own housing and no need for a core exchange. As a result, I suspect most people would probably look at the price and buy a Sport530 or 2530 instead, opting for more horsepower (more impressive dyno sheets!), even though the GT25 turbos may be a better match for our cars. Or they may just go with the cheaper Sport500 and give up a bit of efficiency for a much cheaper price.
